Garage door sensor repair
The door starts down, then goes right back up. Nine times out of ten it's the safety sensors, the two little eyes at the bottom of the tracks. They're there so the door can't close on a child or a pet.

Signs this is your problem
- The door reverses before it reaches the floor.
- It only closes if you hold the wall button down.
- One sensor light is off or blinking.
- Sun hits the sensor late in the afternoon and the door won't close.
What we do
We check alignment, wiring and the sensor lenses. Most calls are fixed by realigning and tightening the brackets. If a sensor has actually failed, we replace the pair and test the reversal with a 2x4 on the floor, the way the safety standard says.
A two-minute check before you call
Wipe both lenses with a soft cloth. Check that both little lights are steady. If one blinks, gently turn that sensor until it's solid. That fixes most sensor calls, and it's free.
